Domaine Fourrier 2007

Seckford is yet to taste the new vintage but Jean-Marie Fourrier has said to us:
2007 is a beautifully pure, classical Burgundy vintage. It does not have the structure of 2005 or 2006, but it has natural acidity giving wonderful freshness. The wines have bright fruit with lovely depth. They will be ready to drink from 2010; the top crus will keep for 8 to 10+ years.

JancisRobinson.com: Fourrier (with Benjamin Leroux of Domaine Comte Armand) was one of the two producers Burghound (Allen Meadows) suggested in my video might inherit the mantle of Henri Jayer ~ "extremely thoughtful...positively brilliant...doesn't do anything without thinking about it first...the results speak for themselves" (Purple Pages 6th November 2008)
