Very perfumed and Pinot (all Meunier apparently). Tight-knit. Slightly yeasty. Not bone dry. Smoky crème pâtissière flavours. This could be substantial enough to stand up to food? This Selosse mentee's first vintage was 1998. (17.5 points)

In a tasting of 80 non vintage champagnes this fizzed its way to a ½ point off top spot!
