Tasting Notes for Louis Roederer Cristal - Louis Roederer, 2002: RoedererŐs 2002 Cristal is still in its infant, fresh stage. Subtle notes of pears, flowers, spices, mint, minerals and oak are woven into a cashmere-like frame of extraordinary grace and elegance. This beautifully-sculpted Champagne possesses notable clarity but with the additional depth of fruit that is characteristic of this vintage. It is a gorgeous, seductive Cristal of the highest level. In 2002, Cristal is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay with 10 grams of dosage. 20% of the wine was fermented in oak. This is Lot : L030351A107809. This bottle was disgorged in June 28th, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2032. Parker Points: 96+ Drinking Period: - |

Tasting Notes for Dom Perignon - Moet et Chandon, 1996: The brilliant 1996 Dom Perignon, which has largely disappeared from the marketplace, may be the finest young example of DP I have ever tasted. Notes of crushed rocks, honeysuckle, lemon oil, orange marmalade, and white pear provide a stunning aromatic display as well as palate impression. Great acidity and huge flavor intensity backed up by vibrant acidity make this an exquisite Champagne. It should drink well for 20-25 years, possibly longer. Readers should remember that the 1971 Dom Perignon Rose is still drinking exquisitely. I recently had the 1969 and 1970 Dom Perignons (from magnum), and both were drinking brilliantly. It makes one realize just how long-lived these wines can be. Production is confidential, but there must be hundreds of thousands of cases of Dom Perignon since it available in most of the world's luxury hotels and restaurants. The Wine Advocate, #162 Dec-05. Tasting Notes for Krug, Magnums - Krug, 1996: The 1996 Vintage explodes from the glass with heady aromas that lead to a richly-textured expression of fruit. There is superb depth and richness, as endless layers of candied apricots, quince, pears, spices and toasted nuts continue to emerge from the glass. Later on, notes of almonds and lemon peel make an appearance, adding further complexity. This powerful, remarkably complete Champagne offers tremendous balance and the potential to continue to develop in bottle for two decades, if not considerably longer. Those fortunate enough to own this wine should be thrilled! Anticipated maturity: 2010-2026. Parker Points: 97 Drinking Period: - |

Tasting Notes for Diebolt Vallois Blanc de Blancs - Diebolt Vallois, NV: 100% Chardonnay from the vineyards of Cuis and Cramant this wine has a wonderfully chalky lemony nose and a very fine bead. Very ripe fruit on the attack, fat too with a lovely touch of richness. It does not have the dry finish of the Charlemagne but is dry none-the-less and peachy. Floral finish with a buiscuity length. Delicious. Parker Points: - Drinking Period: - |
