Tasting Notes for Vouvray Clos Baudoin Moelleux - Poniatowski, Prince Philippe, 1990:
Chris Kissack 17.5 points: A vibrant lemon-gold hue here, clean and quite pure. Sweet golden fruits on the nose, elements of Chenin straw, with an evident vein of smoky minerality too. Polished and pure at the start on the palate, with a firm and stony surface, but underneath a rich layer of creamy, bright, pineapple, mango and citrus fruits. Delicious style with a light seam of minerals and a soft feel alongside a little trace of grip which builds into quite a firm and long finish. It is four years since I last tasted this and it is certainly more compact on this showing, and all the more delicious for it. Very good indeed.
