2017 Boursot Pere et Fils
We are delighted to continue to work with Domaine Boursot in Chambolle-Musigny. A small, family-run Domaine making brilliant Burgundy just two to three barrels of each wine. That’s it! 2017 here is a great success: bold wines with a pure Pinot flavour and beautiful balance.
We highly recommend these fantastic village and Premier Cru wines, in both bottles and especially magnums!
Chambolle Musigny Nazoires
£188 per six bottle case &
£210 per three magnums
3 barrels in total. Very perfumed. Lovely, lively ‘drink me’ nose and palate. Ripe raspberries and exciting balance and acidity. I really like this ‘village’ wine. Stunning.
Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Chatelots
£285 per six bottles &
£300 per three magnums.
1 barrel after not making it in 2016. Small vineyard just below Bonnes Mares. Really well-placed. More redcurrant and floral fruit than the Nazoires. Lighter and more elegant too. Less immediately impressive or flashy but perhaps all the better for that as it builds and builds on the finish.

Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Lavrottes
£285 per six bottle case &
£300 per three magnums
2 barrels. This is the only wine that is showing its new oak today. Similar to the redcurrant notes found in the Lavrottes but more lithe and with a tension and precision that is textbook Pinot Noir. Reminds me a little of tasting in barrel at Rouget.
Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Fuees VV
£330 per six bottles &
£350 per three magnums
2 barrels. Wonderful nose, ‘blue’ fruits and kirsch. Amazing. Incredible concentration. Quite one of the most enjoyable wines of the whole trip. Fragrant, long and intense.
Gevrey Chambertin 2017
£185 per six bottle case
Sweet smelling. Black fruit, chocolatey too. Lovely, fragrant mid-palate, smoky Pinot fruit. Sweet finish. A lovely, fleshy Gevrey.
Vosne Romanee 2017, Boursot
£247 per six bottle case
Silky and fragrant. Attractive sweet fruit on the attack, vibrant raspberries and red cherries. Tangy. A real crowd-pleaser with a fleshy, textured finish.
