Very delicate; liquorice, gingerbread and Madagascar vanilla. Closely followed by mint, trinity cream and vanilla milkshake.

Hazelburn 13 year old Sherry Wood

The 2017 release is 13 years old, matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and bottled at 47.1%.

Nose:

Initially raisins, marzipan, Demerara sugar followed by treacle, sticky toffee and wood shavings.

Homemade strawberry jam, sugary and filled with cream, orange zest, brandy snaps and a white chocolate creme brûlée.

Longrow Peated £38.40.jpg

Longrow Peated

NOT AVAILABLE

Longrow Peated offers those who enjoy a heavily peated whisky the chance to enjoy a lingering smoky taste that travels through the senses like the smoke billows from a kiln.

Nose:

Very creamy, vanilla custard. The smoke develops and toasted marshmallows, herbs and rich fruits appear over time.

Palate:

Incredibly well balanced – rich and creamy with a slight medicinal hint. The smoke is always present and washes over the palate in waves.

Finish:

The gentle smoke lingers and lingers.

Longrow Red 11 year old £114.jpg

Longrow Red 11 year old

NOT AVAILABLE

Our Longrow Red, always bottled at cask strength, is released annually in small quantities and every year a different type of red wine cask is used to mature the whisky.

Offering a different sensation from Longrow Peated, this whisky is smooth, elegant and subtly juicy. The latest release is 11 years old, bottled at 55.9% and was matured in Bourbon casks for 9 years and in Cabernet Franc barriques for a final 2 years.

Nose:

Initially, there is peat, peat and more peat. After leaving this to aerate red wine notes appear, as well as the sweetness of marzipan, toffee, raspberry jam and Eton Mess.

Palate:

The peat remains as does the sweet taste of caramelised sugar and toffee apples. This is balanced by the contrasting fruity flavours of stewed rhubarb and crisp, juicy red apples from the red wine casks. There is also a rich, buttery biscuit flavour on the palate.

Finish:

To finish, there are lovely, long, sooty, smoky burnt embers. This is accompanied by some dry oak vanilla tannins and phenolic antiseptic notes return to say adieu

Rich and very, very tasty. Well balanced. Dark chocolate, creamy coffee and gingerbread to the fore, followed by rhubarb and vanilla custard.

Finish:
