Inevitably we use a lot of packaging material, given the fragile (and expensive) nature of wine bottles. Wherever possible we us recycled or recyclable packaging.
One form of packaging which causes our customers concern is the ‘loose fill’ we use to pack around items. This is made from GM-free starch in a low-energy process, is fully compostable and biodegradable (EN13432). It dissolves in water.
Failing a compost heap, it reminds us of a popular cheese-flavoured snack …
