Tasting Notes

Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 09
Bright, dark red. Reticent nose hints at pepper and spices; quite closed for this cuvee Then plush, sappy and pure in the mouth, with terrific perfumed lift to its black raspberry and mineral flavors. This compellingly sweet wine spreads out impressively on the back half and saturates the palate with floral perfume. The tannins are quite fine-grained. It will be a treat to taste this and the 2007 side by side in seven or eight years.
