Robert Parker Wine Advocate Stephan Reinhardt - 30 Dec 16
The 2012 La Haute Lemblé Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay Millésime (disgorged in April 2016) has a deep, rich and super ripe Chardonnay bouquet, with chalk and a hint of cassis. On the palate, this is a very pure and elegant, but also rich Blanc de Blancs with a long, dense and complex finish. It would be too rich as an aperitif, but perfect with white meat and fish.

Champagne

Champagne, exclusively from France's Champagne region, is synonymous with luxury and celebration. Made primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, creating its signature bubbles. Flavours range from crisp green apple and citrus to rich, toasty notes of nuts and honey. Yeast contact in the bottle contributes to pastry and brioche notes, which are a key part of good quality Champagne. Top producers include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Krug.
