Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 17
(25% vendange entier): Good medium red. Complex, laid-back scents of strawberry, mocha, brown spices and underbrush; soil-driven but not yet expressive. Classic Morey-Saint-Denis flavors of savory red berries and spices convey good inner-mouth tension. Finishes subtle and long, with lingering spice character. This has turned out nicely.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
