Bright medium red. Quintessential Burgundy aromas and flavors of black raspberry, bitter cherry, Oriental spices, coffee, and musky underbrush, all lifted by an element of peppery herbs. Densely packed, spicy and taut; initially seems a bit light but there's real sap here. The light peppery quality combines with fine tannins to give the finish grip and lift. My recorked bottle held up for days in the refrigerator.
