Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Dec 20
The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue de Vergy has an edgy red cherry nose with noticeable scents of autumn leaves/sous-bois. The palate is quite chalky in texture with touches of cocoa on the finish that I feel a bit too abrupt.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
