Tasting Notes

89-91
Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Dec 21
The 2020 Fixin La Place, which will have around one-third new oak, has a well-defined bouquet with black cherries and bilberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fleshy and ripe with fine acidity. Lots of red fruit here, quite elegant with fine tension. I almost think that the new oak is going to be superfluous...we will see.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 20 Jan 22
Notions of sweet berries, cherries and cassis mingled with hints of loamy soil and peony introduce the 2020 Fixin La Place, a medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety wine with lively acids and powdery tannins that assert themselves to deliver promising rather than austere grip on the finish.
