Vinous Neal Martin - 09 Jul 24
The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet, pure in style, displaying a mixture of yellow and white fruit laced with crushed stone and subtle honey aromas. It maintains freshness and tension. The palate is fresh on the entry, tensile and lively, though not delivering the same degree of complexity as the preceding flight from Les Combettes. A little spice on the finish completes a fine Folatières to drink over the next 15 years. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
