The 2022 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Aux Chaumes has an open and quite earthy bouquet with ample brambly red berry fruit tinged with brown spices. The palate is medium-bodied with a ferrous entry, grainy tannins and quite peppery with a slightly savoury finish. Ready to drink now but it will continue to give drinking pleasure for three or four years.

The 2022 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Aux Chaumes exhibits notes of plums, orange zest and red berries, followed by a medium-bodied, tangy palate that's finer-boned and more delicate than its generic counterpart. Given that the soils here are quite rich in clay, I would be surprised to see it take on a little more weight in a year's time.
