The Extra Brut NV is 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay sourced from 65 years old vines. Entirely fermented in stainless steel, 50% of the blend is from the 2017 vintage and the other 50% is composed of reserve wines three to four previous vintages. Both the nose and medium-bodied palate are super ripe and juicy with pure, succulent red fruit accented by notes of lemon blossom and honey. Texturally it has a creamy, soft mousse energized by a vibrant acid line that supports the abundant fruit core. An Extra Brut style with three grams per liter dosage, the fruit ripeness lends surprising roundness to a clean, mineral finish. The bottle tasted was disgorged in July 2023.
