For over 25 years, we’ve owned and operated our HMRC-approved bonded warehouses here in Suffolk. Our dedicated team of experienced cellar professionals and Private Reserves team are specialists in fine wine storage and we take great pride in offering our customers optimum conditions and services for the world’s greatest wines.

  Storage

  £13.20 per 9-litre case (pro-rata)

  £3.30 Charge for quantities under 3 bottles

  £52.80 minimum charge

  Charged annually in April

  No receipt or handling charges

  Condition reports from Reserves

  £18 per rotation/case, which includes photography

  Bond to Bond transfer from Reserves (to another Bond)

  £24 fee per instruction/half pallet (up to 25x12 cases), plus delivery (see below)

  Bond to Bond transfer for a Seckford purchase (to another Bond)

  £24 fee per instruction, which includes delivery

  Delivery

  Charges to a UK mainland address (excluding some parts of Scotland)

  Based on 75cl bottles (other formats charged pro-rata):

  Collecting your wines

  You can collect your own wines by appointment free of charge. Large collections arranged for a carrier may be subject to an administration fee

  Transfer of ownership

  £18 for up to 10 cases to transfer within Seckford

  Transferring stock from IB to DP

  £18 for up to 10 cases - admin charge for IB to DP within Seckford portfolios, plus the duty and VAT

  Exports from Reserves

  £36 per export document

• Online portfolio

  Access to your portfolio allows you to view and filter your wine list, request deliveries, sell through our brokerage service, and much more.

• Valuations

  Wines within your Seckford portfolio will show a current market value, if available. This is an automated service via our partners at Liv-ex, the world’s leading wine trade platform. The market values are intended as a guide only and we cannot be held liable for any misinformation stated. • Selling

  Depending on the wine, we can either offer you a direct outright price, or offer to sell the wine on your behalf on a 10% commission basis through our brokerage service. Further details can be found on our SELL page.

• Condition reports

  Unless specifically asked to by the customer, we do not check and record conditions or case contents. Should you require a condition report, we can offer this service to include photographs. The charge is £18 per case or bottle/rotation.

• Storage Conditions

  All wines are kept in our temperature-controlled warehouses in Suffolk, providing the ideal environment for long-term wine storage. Average temperature in the warehouse is a cool, constant 13 degrees Celsius with humidity between 60 & 70%.

• Wines from other merchants

  We accept wines into Seckford storage from other merchants, but note we do not accept mixed cases. Prior to instructing your merchant or warehouse, please send us a list of all wines intended for Seckford storage, including bond values. Instructions should include your Seckford account number and note the address for delivery is:

• Deliveries (in & out)

  See above for deliveries in from other merchants & warehouses. You can also deliver your wines personally by prior appointment, or by carrier.

  For deliveries out from your Reserves, you can request this online using the Arrange Delivery option.

• Collection

  Collection can be arranged, either by your nominated carrier or personally by prior appointment. Please allow at least 48 hours from request for wines to be picked and prepared for collection.

• Export

  We do not deliver outside of the UK, but customers regularly arrange for wines to be collected from us for Export. Export documents can be arranged, at a cost of £36 per document.

• Security & Insurance

  State of the art 24/7 CCTV and patrol.

  All cases are clearly marked as the property of the owner, as well as being identified individually on our systems, regulated by HM Customs & Excise. No stock can be removed without written permission from the customer and all wines are fully insured at replacement value under our All risks insurance policy.
