(all grenache, aged in 500-liter French oak casks): Dark red. Highly perfumed aromas of blackberry and cherry compote are complemented by notes of lavender, woodsmoke and licorice. Broad and fleshy on the palate, offering ripe, deeply concentrated dark berry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of dark chocolate. Shows a really deft blend of richness and vivacity, with no rough edges at all. Expands and sweetens on the strikingly long, nervy finish, which features chewy tannins and a suave floral pastille quality.
