Springbank, Longrow, Hazelburn & Kilkerran.

Campbeltown was once proclaimed the ‘whisky capital of the world’ and is still home to J&A Mitchell's Springbank and Glengyle distilleries.
Almost uniquely amongst modern distilleries, 100% of the following production process is carried on one site:
Malting, kilning, milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, cask filling, maturation, bottling and labelling are all overseen by an expert in-house team and distillery manager.
Three distinct single malts are made at the Springbank distillery – Springbank – Hazelburn – Longrow.
In 2004 J&A Mitchell re-opened their other Campbeltown distillery, Glengyle - home to the ultra-rare Kilkerran.

Springbank

Springbank has been distilling since 1828. With a character all of its own, thanks to the use of lightly peated barley and a unique two-and-a-half-times distillation process, it is a complex, full bodied maritime dram. Today, our flagship whisky is available in bottlings of 10, 12, 15, 18 and 21-year-olds, with each having slightly different palates and finishes.

Springbank 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

10-year-old offers whisky drinkers the perfect introduction to the Springbank range. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, it is perfectly balanced from the first sip through to the full, rich finish.

Springbank 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
A rusty copper colour, our 18-year-old is full of authority and is truly a classic, full-bodied dram. With a delicious nose, this whisky will tempt you in and hold your attention as you uncover its unique palate and finish.

Longrow

First distilled in 1973, Longrow is the result of an experiment carried out by our chairman, who set out to prove that an Islay style single malt could be produced on the mainland. Today, our heavily peated, wonderfully smoky whisky is available in three bottlings – Peated, Red and 18yo.

Longrow 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Dark and slightly mysterious, our 18-year-old Longrow has a complex nose that unearths a peaty aroma reminiscent of dunnage warehouses.

Longrow Red 11 YO Cabernet Franc Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Longrow Red, always bottled at cask strength, is released annually in small quantities and every year a different type of red wine cask is used to mature the whisky. Offering a different sensation from Longrow Peated, this whisky is smooth, elegant and subtly juicy. The latest release is 11 years old, bottled at 53.1%, and spent 8 years in bourbon casks before completing its maturation with 3 years in Refill Pinot Noir Barriques.

Hazelburn

Having first been distilled in 1997, Hazelburn is the newest whisky to be produced here. By using malt that is air dried only and distilling the whisky three times in our old copper stills, we achieve a spirit that is light, fruity and subtle. Like Longrow, Hazelburn is named after one of the distilleries of Campbeltown’s past. It is available in 10 and 12yo expressions.
