Mullineux - 2025 Chenin Blanc & 2024 Syrah New Release
SINGLE TERROIR CHENIN BLANC 2025 - AVAILABLE JANUARY 2027
A cool, dry 2025 in the Swartland produced exceptional conditions for Chenin Blanc lower yields, concentrated fruit and bright natural acidity. Chris Mullineux describes it as one of the finest vintages for the Single Terroir whites since the range began.
Granite Eikelaan Chenin Blanc 2025 - £300/case IB
Sourced from 47-year-old dry-farmed bush vines on the Paarderberg mountain, the estate’s highest elevation granite site. Decomposed granite over clay produces wines with great acidity and a flinty, stony aromatic profile.
“Epic was my one-word summary of this brilliant Chenin Blanc. Amazing energy, vibrancy and focus, with salty, mouth-watering acidity, lemongrass, grapefruit and wet stone flavours.”
98 Points - Tim Atkin, 2026 SA Report
Schist Roundstone Chenin Blanc 2025 - £300/case IB
From the rocky schist soils of Roundstone Farm, home to the winery. Rocky soils concentrate bunch and berry size, the higher skin-to-must ratio giving structure and freshness.
“Appealing texture and weight, flavours of pear, apricot and sourdough bread and plenty of supporting acidity and minerality.”
95 Points - Tim Atkin, 2026 SA Report
Iron Rondomskrik Chenin Blanc 2025 - £300/case IB
Iron-rich red clay soils outside Malmesbury. Always the earliest-ripening of the three, producing the highest natural extract with bright aromatics.
“Richer, broader and more textured than the Granite release, with plenty of underlying concentration and grip, flavours of quince and pear, subtle oak and an intriguing, slightly ferrous finish.”
95 Points - Tim Atkin, 2026 SA Report
SINGLE TERROIR SYRAH 2024 - AVAILABLE JANUARY 2027
Dry conditions and very low yields in 2024. No heat waves and reduced winds kept water stress low. The result: incredible density, dark fruit and savoury nuances with fine-grained structure and silky mid-palates.
Granite Jakkalsfontein Syrah 2024 - £400/case IB
Sourced entirely from the Jakkalsfontein vineyard, planted in the late 1980s. Sandy topsoil over deep clay retains water for deeper roots, producing wines of exceptional purity with floral, spicy granitic perfume.
“Fermented with 100% whole clusters, it has lots of structure, density and minerality, age-worthy tannins, plenty of energy and flavours of damson, blackberry and cooked meat.”
94 Points - Tim Atkin, 2026 SA Report
Schist Roundstone Syrah 2024 - £400/case IB
From the shallow, rocky schist soils of Kasteelberg Mountain. Small bunches, thick-skinned berries and open canopies give a darker fruit profile, balancing black plum with spicy aromatics.
“Ethereal top notes of fynbos, potpourri and aromatic spices segue into a palate of wild strawberry, plum and tobacco leaf with appealing freshness, sappy acidity and wonderful texture. World-class.”

Iron Kasteelsig Syrah 2024 - £400/case IB
Organic vineyard on iron-rich, gravelly Koffieklip clay outside Malmesbury. Soil holds water through spring before restricting moisture at veraison, naturally concentrating berry size.
“Dense, dark and appealingly brooding, with top notes of clove and white pepper, intense blackberry, blueberry and steak tartare flavours and the concentration to reward cellaring.”

Olerasay 6° Straw Wine Chenin Blanc NV - £625/case IB
A solera-based straw wine comprising all vintages between 2008 and 2025. Bunches are hand harvested and air-dried for four weeks to concentrate natural aromas, sugars and acidity.
“Both young and timeless at the same time. With layers of dried fig, honey, marzipan and orange zest, a subtle rancio undertone and a gorgeous interplay between acidity and 360 grams of residual sugar. One of the world’s greatest sweet wines.”
