Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Oct 14
Bruno Giacosa’s 1990 Barolo Riserva Falleto is terrific, although I have had even better bottles than this. Sweet, sensual and perfumed, the 1990 is all about aromatics and ripe, racy fruit.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
