Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Oct 11
The 2007 Barolo Bricco delle Viole has just been bottled, but that doesn't seem to get in the way of a terrific showing. It is a beautiful wine graced with tons of delineation and sheer intensity. The aromas and flavors build effortlessly to a hugely impressive, dazzling finish. The 2007 shows the volume and depth of the vintage, but with the expressive bouquet and overall harmony that define the finest wines of the year.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
