Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Jan 14
Another gorgeous wine, the 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Combottes impresses for its round, sensual personality. Dark raspberries, blueberries, flowers, mint and licorice all flesh out gracefully. The firm tannins are going to require a few years to settle down, but this is a striking wine in the making. In 2012, there are only two barrels of the Combottes. Because of that, new oak is a bit higher than normal.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
