Vinous Josh Raynolds - 01 Jan 16
Brilliant red. Heady, mineral-accented black raspberry and cherry scents are complicated by Asian spices and lavender. Palate-staining, intense red and dark berry and floral pastille flavors deliver a compelling blend of power and vivacity. Finishes spicy, vibrant and very long, with fine-grained tannins adding gentle grip before fading into the wine's juicy fruit. Whole-cluster fermented and aged in a 3,500-liter wooden foudre for two years.
