Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 16
Bright medium red. Ripe, expressive aromas of raspberry, blackberry, smoke and stone. Smooth and easygoing, offering noteworthy purity to its flavors of redcurrant, raspberry and sweet oak. Offers a nice combination of ripeness and cut and finishes with good energy, slightly dusty tannins and very good length. This seems closer to being finished than the Chatelots or Combottes.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
