Vinous David Schildknecht - 01 May 17
A meld of apple, white currant and honeydew melon strikes a lovely balance between ripeness of fruit and aromatic prickle, as well as between lush succulence and tingling brightness. Hints of oiliness and a subtle creaminess of texture emerge even as impressions of seedy crunch and spiny bite of white currant send slight shivers down one’s spine. The finish envelops with richness, its suggestions of quince and marzipan pointing to a felicitous brush with botrytis.
