The 2015 Meursault Clos des Bouchères 1er Cru has fine intensity and a slight mintiness on the nose, a touch of cough candy developing with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a keen line of acidity. It's lightly honeyed in style with a generous, marmalade-tinged finish. This is drinking perfectly now.

Meursault Fine Wine

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
