2009 was the first vintage. Mineral character because very limestone/chalky soil. Usually caliza in Alavesa is 12% but here it's close to 18%. Very vigorous and savoury Marmite notes on the nose. Sweet and juicy. Thick and sweet. Grainy tannins on the finish. (JR)
