Jancis Robinson Ferran Centelles - 26 Apr 16
Tempranillo. Single vineyard in Laguardia at 600 m on calcareous-clay soils. Hand-harvested and yielding 4,000 kg/ha. 14 months' ageing in new French oak barrels.Really closed nose, needs decanting. Very spicy and earthy. The palate is modern, dense and inky with firm tannins still to be mellowed. Very positive balance and fresh acidity. Solid wine with great ageing potential. (FC)
