2014 - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie Blanc, Jean Noel Gagnard

The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Maltroye has a very elegant bouquet; there is just a hint of licoricehere with citrus peel and Japanese yellow plum. I love the exoticism here without compromising delineation. The palate is fresh on the entry with citrus lemon mixed with almond and lemon curd. There is a slight waxiness to the texture, as well as good depth and delineation with a long finish. One of Caroline L'Estimées racier and opulent offerings this year.
