(100% cabernet franc; 14.5% alcohol) Good bright ruby. Superripe red fruits, menthol and fresh herbs on the nose, complicated by minerals and nutty oak. Sweet and silky on entry, then smooth but tight in the middle, with lovely intensity to the flavors of strawberry-rhubarb and coffee. The long finish features smooth tannins but a slightly chunky quality. A very good wine, but less perfumed than the 2007.
