Tasting Notes

Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Jan 14
Rose petals, cinnamon and sweet red berries are given an extra kick of volume and depth by the year in the 2012 Chambolle Musigny Cuvée Jules. This is a decidedly rich, voluptuous style of Chambolle built on pure texture and radiance. The layered, sensual finish is going to be virtually irresistible. The 2012 was done with 100% whole clusters but there is little evidence of stems. The Cuvée Jules is a blend of fruit from Feusselottes and Sentiers.

Chambolle-Musigny Vineyard Fine Wine

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
