2001 - Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru, Joseph Drouhin

Tasting Notes

90
Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 04
Medium red. Briary raspberry, cola, sandalwood and blood orange on the nose. Silky, lush and deep, with liqueur-like red fruit and underbrush flavors, along with a suggestion of game. Quite pliant and accessible for a young 2001. Finishes with firm, ripe tannins and lovely lingering perfume. Comes across as a bit more evolved than some of Drouhin's other grand crus.
