Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 08
Good full red. Pungent black fruits and minerals lifted by subtle sweet oak. Juicy, lively and pungent, with a light touch to the flavors of sappy dark fruits and spices. Sharply delineated but quite tightly wound and in need of patience.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
