Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 17
(70% vendange entier): Bright red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of black cherry, violet and bitter chocolate. Plush, fat and sweet, offering lovely fullness and roundness for village wine. A rather dark-fruit style of Chambolle villages, finishing with serious but fine-grained tannins and very good length.

Cask sample. Mid to light cherry. Ripe cherry with a lightly herbal stemmy freshness on the nose. Smells cool and fresh. Juicy, moreish and giving pleasure already. It seems that it would be approachable quite young but still have the stamina for a longish future. (JH)

Chambolle-Musigny Vineyard Fine Wine

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
