Robert Parker Wine Advocate Neal Martin - 29 Dec 17
The 2016 Aloxe-Corton Village was reduced to 11 barrels from three hectares in this vintage. Now this has more complexity and personality than the Chorey-lès-Beaune, a mixture of red and black fruit that are nicely integrated with the used oak. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant fleshy opening, just a touch of black pepper, quite harmonious with an appealing, quite caressing, fresh finish. Bravo. A small quantity, but what there is a very fine.
