Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 13 Feb 20
The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Solon wafts from the glass with notes of cherries, smoky wild berries, cassis and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, supple and charming, its ripe core of fruit is framed by powdery tannins. This is a touch richer and deeper-pitched than the 2017 rendition, but it will offer a similarly broad drinking window.

Mid crimson. Dark fruited and peppery opening up to the most gorgeous yet delicate floral note of peony. Succulent, dry, fine tannins. Very pure and with all the complexity of Morey. Tannins finish slightly chalky, adding to the very good freshness. (JH)

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
