Saturated ruby-red. Black fruits, bitter chocolate and violet pastille on the nose. Dense and chewy in the mouth, with rather extracted flavors of dark berries, violet, chocolate, cherry skin and tar. Nicely integrated acidity gives the wine a penetrating quality. Still rather youthfully closed and dominated by its oak component. Finishes with substantial nutty oak, firm tannins and a trace of alcoholic warmth.
