The 2018 Extra-Brut Rosé Fac-Simile is the same base wine as the Blanc, but with 13% still red Meunier blended in. That still Pinot works so well in giving the Rosé added layers of dimension. The red berry, floral and chalky flavors are wonderfully bright in a Champagne that offers a striking interplay of richness and energy. Fac-Simile Rosé is one of the most distinctive wines in Champagne. The 2018 is another terrific release. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter. (Originally published in May 2021)
