Planted in 1990. Five owners. Iron oxide gives very red soil. East facing. Wines often have a smoky nose. 40% new oak. Medium toast.Sweet oak on the nose. Something smells quite California about this but on the palate it’s really quite something. Density and freshness. Really quite exciting, fresh red fruit. Tart raspberry juice? Dry finish. Exciting.
