Vinous Neal Martin - 12 Dec 23
The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru possesses a more tropical-leaning aromatic profile, with mango and pineapple, but perhaps it’s just missing a bit of complexity and mineralité. The palate is rounded on the entry and quite honeyed in texture, with fine acidity. Chewier than its peers, with what feels like more extract toward its pithy finish, this is perhaps a little overworked compared to others, though there is undeniably decent length. Give this another 3 to 4 years. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
