The 2019 Sarget de Gruaud Larose is composed of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 11% Petit Verdot. Medum to deep garnet-purple in color, it storms out with pronounced blackberry preserves, plum pudding, and crème de cassis notes, plus hints of Chinese five spice and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy, it has plenty of freshness to support the generous black fruits and exotic spice flavors, finishing with impressive length.
