Vinous Josh Raynolds - 22 Dec 22
Opaque ruby. A pungent, deeply perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, olive paste, potpourri, exotic spices and smoky minerals. Densely packed and concentrated on the palate, offering smoke- and spice-accented blackberry, cassis, floral pastille and fruitcake flavors that show outstanding definition and mineral lift. Finishes smoky, sappy and impressively long, with gripping tannins adding shape to the resonating dark berry and floral notes.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate Joe Czerwinski - 20 Jan 22
Atypically big, rich and velvety, the 2019 Crozes Hermitage emanates from a vintage whose yields were cut in half by hail. Bottled in March 2021, it delivers rolling waves of ripe black cherries, tinged with understated herbal notes and a long, luxuriously textured finish.

Rhone Vineyard Valley of Fine Wine

Rhone

The Rhône Valley in southeastern France is famed for its diverse wines. It's divided into Northern Rhône, known for Syrah-based reds and white wines from Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne, and Southern Rhône, which features blends like Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. Northern Rhône wines, such as Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage, are intense and complex, while Southern Rhône's Châteauneuf-du-Pape is known for powerful, spicy reds. Top producers include E. Guigal, Domaine du Pegau, and Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, exemplifying the region's rich winemaking tradition.
