Vinous Neal Martin - 30 Oct 24
The 2020 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a primal nose with black cherries, wild strawberries, a touch of wild mint and clementines. It is not the most complex, but it is attractive all the same. It needs a little more precision and mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with a citrus-fresh entry. Orange zest, mandarin, plenty of red fruit and real mineralité on the finish make this a sophisticated Clos de Bèze that will give a lot of pleasure. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
