Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 31 Jan 23
The domaine's regular 2020 Fixin Village has turned out nicely, exhibiting aromas of sweet cherries and berries complemented by hints of smoke and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, textural and enveloping, with tangy acids and sweet tannins, it's a strong introduction to the domaine and the commune.

The 2020 Fixin Village is complex on the nose considering this is a Village Cru: redcurrant, briary, sous-bois and light truffle scents. This is very fragrant. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with a dab of sour cherry on the finish. Delightful.

Cold soak in concrete tanks; fermentation in steel tanks, one or two remontages during cuvaison, piegeage at end of fermentation only. 10 months élevage in used oak barrels.Bright, vivid ruby. Firm tannins covering a ripe, raspberry profile. Quite sweet on the palate but dry on the finish. (MH)
