Clos de Lanson 2009 Blanc de Blancs comes from Lanson’s Clos located in Reims. Barrel fermented and aged 12 years on lees, with an additional 6 months of bottle age before release. This Clos de Lanson is made to an Extra Brut style with three gram per liter dosage. Elegantly sculpted and precise, it is redolent of ripe stone fruit, preserved lemons, marzipan, croissant, and vanilla bean. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture, the palate offers a pure expression of ripe citrus fused with chalky acidity, and a finish that is long, fresh and just a little toasty.

The 2009 Blanc de Blancs Clos Lanson is an extra brut and was disgorged in May 2022 with three grams per liter. It reveals a vibrant, bright bouquet with aromas of menthol, lemon oil, grapefruit, spring flowers and orchard fruits. Medium to full-bodied, lively and chiseled, it’s more tense and refined than its 2018 counterpart, concluding with a lively, penetrating and mouthwatering finish. This represents a shift in style due to the third year of biodynamic practices which bring a finely honed texture and a more vibrant acidity.

Champagne

Champagne, exclusively from France's Champagne region, is synonymous with luxury and celebration. Made primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, creating its signature bubbles. Flavours range from crisp green apple and citrus to rich, toasty notes of nuts and honey. Yeast contact in the bottle contributes to pastry and brioche notes, which are a key part of good quality Champagne. Top producers include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Krug.
