The 2020 Chardonnay Sanford and Benedict Vineyard is deep and quite powerful, but also rather monolithic at this stage. It will be interesting to see if the 2020 acquires more finesse in time. There's a chance that will happen, as the 2020 has quite a bit of freshness and plenty of body. Today though, it comes across as rather raw and unformed.

Terlato-owned mostly clay 25-ha vineyard. Mostly 35-year-old vines. Relatively rich with a little bitter bite on the finish. Great structure. (JR)
