Vinous Neal Martin - 30 Oct 24
The 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very Bretty nose that shrouds the fruit profile. There is also reduction to contend with. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, what feels like an over-macerated Mazoyères that lacks freshness and precision on the finish. This is an odd showing. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
