Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 May 11
Deep ruby. The most powerful of this vintage's pinots, displaying deeply pitched scents of black raspberry, cherry-cola and violet, plus a hint of anise. Then rich but lively on the palate, offering sweet red and dark berry preserve flavors and exotic floral and gingerbread nuances. Lush and creamy on the extremely long finish, which features suave spice and red berry notes.
