Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Jan 20
The 2017 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru offers lovely precision and energy in the rather taut style for this site, where the wines tend to be a bit more generous. Green pear, spice and white flowers add lovely shades of nuance. More than anything else, I am struck by the wine's saline-infused energy. The taut style will appeal most to readers who enjoy nervy, classically built Chablis.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate William Kelley - 30 Aug 19
The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is another of the broader, ampler premiers crus in the range this year, revealing notes of honeyed apples and dried white flowers, followed by a fleshy, open-knit but muscular palate, concluding with a saline finish.

Chablis

Chablis, the northernmost Burgundy region, is famed for its crisp, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines. Unlike rich, oaky Chardonnays, Chablis wines, influenced by the cool climate and limestone-rich soils, feature vibrant acidity and flavours of green apple, citrus, and flint. Ideal with seafood, especially oysters, Chablis wines come in four appellations: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru. Esteemed producers like Domaine William Fèvre, François Raveneau, and Vincent Dauvissat are known for their classic, terroir-expressive wines.
